Nambya is a trans Africa company dealing in arts and crafts for the people all over the world.
Our basic aim is to share the huge amount of art and craft made by people on the African continent. A great deal of the people engage in craftwork as a cultural practice and some as a means of survival. We therefore see ourselves and promoting African culture and also doing our part to help art and craft people find a market to sell their goods.
Nambya is the name of a tribe found in the north western part of Zimbabwe, around the area where the Victorial Falls is located. Nambyans along with their neighbors the Tonga's are highly skilled wood carvers and a great deal of the work on this site is from these people. The main reason for this being so is that this site is run by people of Nambyan decent.
Nambya also has connections with art and craft makers from some of the Southern African nations and hence features some craft from most of the SADC group of countries.
